Predefined Outbound Messages - Tekmetric Authorization/Invoice Links

Predefined Outbound Messages - Tekmetric Authorization/Invoice Links

Tekmetric integration does now allow for Authorization as well as Invoice links to be sent from autoflow text messaging, to provide links to the Tekmetric customer facing portal. With this you can configure predefined outbound messages to send to customers for remote approval or providing invoice balances after repairs/maintenance have been completed on a vehicle. These predefined messages must first by configured by an admin profile, but can be sent by any Service Writer or admin profile from the individual text modal, as well as the Text Manager.

To set up these predefined messages for use, you will need to navigate to the Predefined Outbound Texts setup through the Workflow Setup page. The Predefined Outbound Texts can be located in the second to last category on the Workflow Setup Page, as seen in the screenshots below.

This will take you to the Predefined Message Setup page, where you can create or customize your predefined messages to include the relevant coded links to connect to the Tekmetric Authorization or Invoice customer facing pages.

The blue banners providing the codes for each link will always be visible on this page to provide ease of setup and modification of these messages, each code detailed below.
  1. {authorization_link} - Provides a link to the Tekmetric customer authorization portal, where pending approval jobs can be reviewed and approved or declined by the customer remotely.
  2. {invoice_link} - Provides a link to the Tekmetric customer invoice portal to show the current balance of the active visit.
  3. {customer_dvi_url} - Will send the current customer DVI link for a completed inspection, in the same way that a completed inspection can be sent from the DVI page within autoflow.
Once these messages have been configured, any Service Writer or admin can send these using either the Text Manager, or the individual customer texting modal as seen below.

After opening the customer conversation in this method, a new option (If no previous predefined messages had been configured) will display in the texting modal.

This will open a selection menu where the Service Writer can choose which message to send to the customer for viewing.

These predefined messages can also be set up to use generally without the use of these function specific codes.
