Groups and how it affects shop management system integrations.
With our Groups/Grouping feature you may notice some functional changes. Here are some helpful tips.
- Now, when changing a customer's phone number in the shop management
system, instead of overwriting the number in ATMe, it will add it as an
additional contact number to that customer profile.
- If a customer's phone number is updated in the shop management system, and that number already has a separate record in ATMe, the current ATMe customer number will not be updated. To send updates to that number, group the two customer records and select the desired number for updates (see HERE for more info).
- If an additional number is added to a customer record via shop management system, they will be defaulted to receive messages. Any existing numbers for that customer will also receive messages unless updated manually by clicking on the customer's name on the dashboard (see HERE for more info).
- Update preferences stay with each customer and do not apply to the whole group. If a vehicle for a different group member is added for a visit, the update preferences will need to be selected for that customer (see HERE for more info).
