DVI Setup

DVI Setup is where the administrator can customize how the Autoflow Digital Vehicle Inspection will function.


The Toggles


  • Default all items to good/green: This is an option to set all inspection items to default to green on a new inspection.
  • Default Tire section to good/green: This is an option to default all tires to green on a new inspection.
  • Repopulate Previous Red/Yellow Inspection Data: This is an option to repopulate old red/yellow inspection items from a customer's previous inspection.
  • Repopulate Previous Green Inspection Data: This is an option to repopulate old green inspection items from a customer's previous inspection.
    Note: You must have 'Repopulate Previous Red/Yellow Inspection Data' on to use this toggle.
  • Repopulate Previous Tire Data: This is an option to repopulate old inspection tire information from a customer's previous inspection.
  • Automatic Caution When Adding Notes: This is an option to set an inspection item to default to caution upon adding notes.
  • Show PDF Green/Good Items: This is an option to show all green/good inspection items on PDF report.
  • Private Notes: This is an option to add private notes to inspection items.
  • Show Approved/Unapproved for Items: This is an option to show whether an item is approved or unapproved.
  • Show Customer Items as Addressed: This is an option to show addressed and unaddressed items in the customer DVI and PDF report. This is based off of the Approval/No recall column on the DVI.
    You must have 'Show Approved/Unapproved for Items' on to use this toggle.
  • Show Customer Status: This is an option to show the customer their status when viewing their inspection report.
  • Default Image Markup Color: Click to change default image markup color
  • Require Photo/Video Only on Red or Yellow DVI Items: This is an option to only enforce photo/video requirements on DVI items marked with a Yellow (!) or Red (X) status.
  • Require Photo on all Red or Yellow DVI Items: This is an option to require a photo on all DVI items marked with a Yellow (!) or Red (X) status.
  • Resize Images: This is an option to resize image before uploading.
  • Add DVI completion time to work order: This is an option to automatically add DVI completion time to work order.
  • Setup MyCARFAX QuickVIN: Setup Carfax QuickVIN integration for license plate decoding on the DVI.

  • Customizable Fields


    1. Miscellaneous: Whatever is written in this area will appear as the last field of the vehicle information on the DVI.
    1. Vehicle Meter (Mileage/Kilometer/Hours): The selected unit of measure will be shown for the odometer field on the DVI.
    1. Text Message Template: This is the message that will accompany the DVI link went sent via text.
    1. Email Message Template: This is the message that will accompany the DVI link went sent via email.

    Click and Drag to change sort order on Customer DVI


    1. The admin can change the order the customer sees the information in the DVI.
    1. The admin can edit what each marking is called.

    Required Fields


    1. The admin can choose which fields of the vehicles information section are required to be filled out.
    1. Technicians and advisors will know which fields are required by the red asterisk or if the they try and complete the DVI with those fields blank they will be highlighted in yellow.
