Difference Between Search Functions on Active Customers Page



As you can see above, there are two separate search functions within your autotext.me Active Customer Dashboard.

  1. Takes you to the Customer Search where you can search for all customers by first or last name, phone number, VIN, or RO/Invoice number.
  2. Opens the Active Customer search bar on the dashboard, this will only filter results that have an active or scheduled visit. This can filter based upon customer name, vehicle, VIN, repair order, or keytag number.


The customer search will allow you to search your entire customer database, both with and without active visits. This can be used to view a specific customer's visit history, update contact information, or even reach out to a customer via text with no active visit on the Customer Dashboard. Customers can be found using their first or last name, phone number, VIN, or RO/Invoice numbers as seen in the image below.



The Active Customer Dashboard search will only filter results for customers with active visits currently on the dashboard. This will not search for any historical visits, but will still display any hidden scheduled appointments in the Future Scheduled Appointments. When you first open the search bar, as seen in the first image below, your cursor will be automatically placed within the search bar to begin typing. As you type the results will begin filtering automatically and highlight the matching criteria, continuing to narrow down as you specify your search as seen in the bottom image.
