Adding a Customer Without an Active Visit
This process can be completed by any service writer or admin level profile, and must be done using the Add Customer option from the top navigation bar. This process cannot be completed using the Quick Add feature.
Once you've selected the Add Customer menu, you will see be taken through the normal process of manually creating a customer record in autoflow. This will start by asking for a phone number, which will verify if there is a customer profile currently existing using the desired number.
After filling out the customer last name or business name no other additional details are required, though you can also add the customer/business email and any additional phone numbers to be associated with this profile as well, you can proceed to skip adding a vehicle and proceed to the STATUS/ETC section. The Starting Status drop down menu has an option to add the customer in the * - (Closed - Vehicle is picked up) status. This will create the customer record, without sending any automated messages or adding an active visit to the Active Customer dashboard.
Once complete you will be able to search for this customer profile, and open a text conversation with this newly created customer record from the Conversation (Send Text) option at the top of the profile page. A blank record as if for a past visit will appear in the customer history, but can be deleted by an admin profile if desired. This history record holds no information and will not be used to trigger any followup messages.
